Meet Reverend Marilyn Mars, a Servant of God, Mother, Spiritual Consultant, Marriage Officiant and Master Life Coach who has an ardent desire in helping to bring restoration to lives. She knows that in order to do so, she must meet people where they are in life. Born in the beautiful country of Guyana, South America, she migrated to the United States in the year 2007 and was ordained as a Minister in 2011.
After baptizing in the year 1989 she began to first serve as an Evangelist, then moved into the call to the Prophetic and Teaching Ministry. Exhortation was her primary and natural gifting from God, and she travelled tirelessly from village to village in Guyana preaching the gospel, sometimes with other church members, but most times alone. Having a heart to serve people she ministered in hospitals to the sick, in institutions for the elderly, lead prayer meetings, taught in bible clubs for adults and children, giving spiritual advice and mentorship to many. She also served in the church’s soup kitchens and homeless shelters.
Personal Life
Marilyn has always had an inclination towards spirituality since a teenager, she was nicknamed “Joseph the Dreamer”, and “Martin Luther King”, by her siblings because she oftentimes awoke in the morning and told of dreams she had while asleep. The miraculous side of this was that most of her dreams did not take long to manifest, to the point that it help save some of her family members from running into danger because of messages she got about them from dreams. Then she had call to serve God that inspired her to be baptized in the year 1989. At this significant time in her life; now a mother of two young male children, she received her serious call into ministry.
Added to her spiritual excellence is her academic brilliance. She is a Certified Accounting Technician (Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants. Has an Associate Degree in Healthcare Office Administration, and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (USA). She also holds certification as a Master Life Coach: Goal Success Coach, Life Purpose Coach, Happiness Life Coach, Professional Life Coach, Emotional Intelligence and Spiritual Life Coach.
