Hope
“Listen to the mustn'ts, child. Listen to the don'ts. Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts. Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me... Anything can happen, child. Anything can be.”
― Shel Silverstein
Hope is an optimistic attitude of mind a person has that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes related to events and circumstances in one's life or the world at large. There is confidence in expecting so a desire is cherish in anticipation of it being fulfilled.
Many men and women today are living in hope for better relationships with their loved ones, world peace, end of poverty and other conditions in the world today that are not pleasurable. Many also die in despair of not seeing what they desire become manifestation, they have lost hope. My friend, What are you hoping for today? Whatever it is I can tell you will certainty that nothing is impossible with God.
The bible gives a an explanation of Hope in Roman 8:24-25 "For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one also hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it." We have a surety, the sure certainty that what God has promised us in the Word is true, has occurred, and or will in accordance with God’s sure Word.
When we live in confident expectation of a promise to be fulfilled in our lives, this hope become dynamic and active in us and results in many changes in our lives.
Hope changes:
1. The way we see ourselves as worthy of the promises of God.
2. Our value system. We now value our relationship with God.
3. What we do with our lives, talents and our time. As we are now in the state of expectation
of good, we think more constructively about our lives, and we use our time and talents
wisely.
4. We begin to learn how to cherish and nurture relationships in our lives and see them as part of our evolution,
part of our growth.
Hope has rewards and values:
1. It gives us joy and peace, because we trust more and worry less.
2. It gives us protection, because we have confidence of the protection of God.
3. It gives us strength to persevere, courage to go on, and boldness to stand in the authority
of what we believe.
However in order to have hope, one must have knowledge of the word of God. rest in the assurance of the word and live a spirit filled life.
