The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor

Promises That Will Pacify Your Concerns

In order to succeed, you must first believe that you can.

- Nikos Kazantzakis

Infuse your life with action, don't wait for it to happen, Make your own future, make your own hope, make you own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your Creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen.....yourself, right now, right down here on earth.

- Bradley Whitford

Always stay in a state of expectation of the thing you desire, and you will always be motivated.

- Marilyn Mars

Challenges in life, difficulties and lack tend to get us in a state of non activity, as the cares of the world bombard and take us down. We look to religion, support groups, friends, family and whatever organizations that are available for help to get up back on our feet again. While this may be well and good and may help to alleviate some our our burdens, it will never be truly effectual unless we get up and become motivated to help ourselves out of our difficulties. Help from others may only be temporal, so, what will happen thereafter, what do you intend to do when the help is gone? Are you just going to roll over and die!

It is so sad , but I have watch so many sit idly, while their life seek corruption.....this is the time to restore they old waste places in your life by becoming motivated.

Motivation has been defined as the process that helps to initiate, guide, and maintain behaviors in someone that are goal-oriented. Motivation causes us to act, and it involves the biological, social, emotional and cognitive forces that activate our behavior.

There are two types of motivation: Extrinsic Motivation: which is stimulated by things that are happening outside of the individual, and are often rewards like money, praises, trophies etc. then there is Intrinsic Motivation: which is stimulated from within the individual like desire to succeed, etc, which are personal.

Here are some facts:

  • We must become enthusiastic, something or someone must drive us forward
  • We must be determined; never give in to doubt, fear and slothfulness
  • We must have ambition; this is intrinsic motivation, the desire to succeed must come from within.
  • We must be initiative; God help those along, who are ready to take the first steps.

Here are some ways to get motivated:

  • Think about the incentives to be gained, if you act, and act now
  • Introduce some positive incremental challenges in your life, like: losing weight, etc.
  • Keep imagining the steps necessary to become successful, see the challenges and the strategies you can use to overcome them.
  • Take control of your life, your position; when you are in control, you feel motivated.
  • Focus on the journey you are taking to reach your goal and enjoy every step of the way....and not on the possible outcome; will I be successful or will I be a failure, as fear and doubt may step in.
