SCRIPTURAL MANDATE

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11

The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor

(Luke 4:18-19)

Promises From The

Word Of God

Isaiah 55:7King James Version

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Isaiah 43:25 King James Version

I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

Jeremiah 31:34 King James Version

And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember

their sin no more.

Isaiah 1:18 King James Version

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Galatians 5:19-23

19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, 21 envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

1 Timothy 5:22

Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.

Galatians 6:7-9

7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Let us not lose heart in doing good, 9 for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.

Psalm 9:10

And they that know your name will put their trust in you: for you, LORD, have not forsaken them that seek you.

Psalm 40:3-17

3 He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God;

Many will see and fear

And will trust in the LORD.

4 How blessed is the man who has made the LORD his trust,

And has not turned to the proud, nor to those who lapse into falsehood.

5 Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders which You have done,

And Your thoughts toward us;

There is none to compare with You.

If I would declare and speak of them,

They would be too numerous to count.

6 Sacrifice and meal offering You have not desired;

My ears You have opened;

Burnt offering and sin offering You have not required.

7 Then I said, “Behold, I come;

In the scroll of the book it is written of me.

8 I delight to do Your will, O my God;

Your Law is within my heart.”

9 I have proclaimed glad tidings of righteousness in the great congregation;

Behold, I will not restrain my lips,

O LORD, You know.

10 I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart;

I have spoken of Your faithfulness and Your salvation;

I have not concealed Your loving kindness and Your truth from the great congregation.

11 You, O LORD, will not withhold Your compassion from me;

Your loving-kindness and Your truth will continually preserve me.

12 For evils beyond number have surrounded me;

My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to see;

They are more numerous than the hairs of my head,

And my heart has failed me.

13 Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me;

Make haste, O LORD, to help me.

14 Let those be ashamed and humiliated together

Who seek my life to destroy it;

Let those be turned back and dishonored

Who delight in my hurt.

15 Let those be appalled because of their shame

Who say to me, “Aha, aha!”

16 Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;

Let those who love Your salvation say continually,

“The LORD be magnified!”

17 Since I am afflicted and needy,

Let the Lord be mindful of me.

You are my help and my deliverer;

Do not delay, O my God.

Affirmations

(speak it, believe it)

Letting go of all previous mistakes, I know that today

 I am free and unhindered.

I feel the operation of Divine Love and Universal Law in all my affairs.

I know that everything I am doing is governed by

Love and controlled through Divine Law.

I am conscious that I am one with all people in love,

in essence, and in joy.

.......................

I know that every negative condition of

the past is swept aside.

I refuse to see it or think of it.

Yesterday in no longer here, tomorrow

has not yet arrived.

Today is God's day.

God's day is my day.

Today, bright with hope and filled with promise,

is mine.

Today my heart is without fear.

I have implicit confidence in the good,

the enduring and the true.

Today I shall guard my thoughts and speech;

I shall keep my consciousness steadfast with the realization that there is a spiritual

Power unto which I may rely.

I shall turn resolutely to that Divine Source which knows no confusion, to that spiritual Center which knows no fear.

The Spirit is not afraid of anything;

the Divine that has no enemies;

the Spirit knows no opposites.

Consciously, I draw close to my Divine Center,

the Source of all that is; I feel the warmth

of Its presence.

I enter into a faith made perfect through love

and confidence, an assurance made complete

by the abandonment of myself to good.

Acknowledging good in all my ways, desiring

only the good of others, I trust in calm assurance.

I open my consciousness to the realization that all

the Power and Presence there is clothes me in Its eternal embrace; that the Spirit forever imparts

Its life to me.

I believe in myself because I believe in God.

I believe in my destiny because I know that the

Law of Good is operating through me.

I have confidence in the future and enthusiastic expectation of good things to come.

Therefore, I accept the fullness of life this moment.

Hopeful Re-Entry

Mission Statement

To give hope to those who has been previously incarcerated that there is still purpose to their life, by introducing them to resources, information and related agencies that could help them in their re-entry process.

Vision Statement

Restoring individuals to purposeful alignment psychically, morally and spiritually.

After one has been in prison, it is the small things that one appreciates: being able to take a walk whenever one wants, going into a shop and buying a newspaper, speaking or choosing to remain silent. The simple act of being able to control one's person.

Nelson Mandela

Where is your identity?

WHO ARE YOU?

WHAT DEFINES YOU?

WHAT IS YOUR IDENTITY?

IDENTITY is defined as “the collective aspect of the set of characteristics by which a thing is definitively recognizable or known,”

Where are you tempted to find your identity?

  • Many think about finding it in their job, are you only finding fulfillment in being successful and working.
  • As you a pleasure seeker, thinking that the only way you can find your identity and fulfillment is by running behind things that bring you pleasure, even though you may suffer pain along the way
  • Are you addicted to drugs, thinking that it will bring you pleasure
  • Being in gangs, groups, and whatever else you identified with now or in the pass, trying to look for your identity.

The truth is my friend that you have tried many things, the gangs, the drugs, the crimes, sexual immoralities, friends, and many other things, and still cannot find fulfillment in life and as for your identity you still do not know who you are. Well as of now I am about to clear up this misunderstanding that is within you about yourself.

Why you cannot find fulfillment in yourselves? Because you were created to reflect the glory of God and, since your main goal was trying to seek an identity outside of God and trying to bring glory to yourselves, you will never find lasting fulfillment apart from him.

God created you to have unique characteristics and purpose. You were created in his own image and likeness, created out of his own spirit. However he designed you also to have a commonality of contentment with your lives through His will. You discover your true identity the more closely you are drawn to Him.

A further definition of identity is “the quality or condition of being the same as something else.” In the case of your identity in God, your lives should indicate that we are the same as God. Your identity with God brings about a newness in your lives.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says:

19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

In your new identity in God, you are no longer slaves to sin (Romans 6:6), but you are reconciled to God (Romans 5:10). This new identity completely changes your relationship with God and your families, and your fellow men, just as it changes the way we see the world. Your new identity in God means you now have a relationship with God. and you can definitely benefit from his promises. And this relationship gets even stronger than those you have established with your earthly families (Matthew 10:35–37). Instead of fearing God as judge, you have the great privilege of coming to Him as your Father. You can approach Him with confidence and ask of Him what you need (Hebrews 4:16). You can ask for His guidance and wisdom (James 1:5) and know that nothing will take you from Him (Romans 8:38–39). You also rest in His authority and respond to Him with trusting obedience, knowing that obedience is a key part of remaining close to Him (John 14:23).

You are now no longer citizens of the world, given over to the lusts of the world, but you are apart from it (2 Corinthians 6:14—7:1). You will understand that you are a part of a heavenly, God-ruled kingdom. Things of the earth no longer draw you (Colossians 3:2). You don’t fear or over-emphasize suffering on earth or the trials you face (Colossians 1:24; 1 Peter 3:14; 4:12–14), nor do you place importance on things the world values (1 Timothy 6:9–11). Even your bodies and your actions reflect that your minds are no longer conformed to the world (Romans 12:1–2) but are now used as instruments of righteousness to God (Romans 6:13). And your new kingdom perspective means you understand that your enemy is not the people around us, who you think you have to fight against or destroy, but the spiritual forces that had endeavor to keep you from knowing God (Ephesians 6:12).

So my beloved, today is the day of your salvation, if you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, sick of the crime, sick of the drugs, sick of your unfulfilled life, and today you have heard this word and is willing to make a change in your life, then make that change. As the prodigal child who returned to the father's home after he had spent all his time and energy on riotous living and had nothing left or no way to live, found the welcoming arms of his father when he returned home....you will too.

Your creator, is willing and waiting to reconcile you again unto himself, he is ready to restore you to a life of righteousness and fulfillment. For it is he that has granted you favor to come out of bondage, to freedom.....alive, whole and well. There were many who did not make it, so bless God.

Should you be willing to come in alignment say this prayer:

“Dear God, Mighty Creator, Elohim,

I know I have done many wrong and has turned away from you, and today,

as this moment I sincerely ask for your forgiveness.

I believe you are my creator, and that you love me, and has promised to

never leave me nor forsake me. Guide my life and help me to do your will.

In your name, Amen.”

I remain humbly in your service,

Minister Marilyn Mars
