In the beginning God created man in His own likeness. He endowed him with noble qualities. His mind was well balanced, and all the powers of his being were harmonious. But the Fall and its effects have perverted these gifts. Sin has marred and well-nigh obliterated the image of God in man. It was to restore this that the plan of salvation was devised, and a life of probation was granted to man. To bring him back to the perfection in which he was first created is the great object of life—the object that underlies every other.

WHAT IS RESTORATION?

Restoration in the Merriam-Webster dictionary means: the act or process of returning something to its original condition by repairing it, or cleaning it. It is the act of restoring, renewal, revival, or reestablishment or return of something to a former, original, normal, or unimpaired condition.

However, the biblical meaning of the word “restoration” is to receive back more than has been lost, to the point where the final state is greater than the original condition. The main point is that someone or something is improved beyond measure. This is the restoration that we are speaking here about and is striving towards, that all will achieve.

We strongly feel that there is a great need in the world today, than ever before for a spiritual restoration of mankind’s relationship with God (we definitely need His presence), and a moral restoration in society; whereby a divinely positive life will be lived and dignified relationships with others will be restored.

Mission Statement:

To see the lives of people transformed (spirit, soul and body) from degradation to righteous living through knowledge of self and right relationship with God and others. Ensuring moral and social decency is restored in families, communities, states, and nations and the world at large, thus restoring the Kingdom of God (the fulfillment on earth of God’s will).

GOD’S PLAN:

God’s divine plan was to establish a replica of His Kingdom of Heaven on earth called the “Kingdom of God”, governed and dominated by mankind whom He created. It was intended that man would live in obedience to his Creator and walk in righteousness. However, man fell into sin though disobedience and loose his ability to have dominion over the earth.

THE EFFECT OF SIN ON MANKIND:

The effects of sin are numerous and far reaching. Sin has affected every aspect of our being. It has affected our lives on earth and our eternal destiny.

• Sin caused mankind to be spiritually separated from God.

• Sin caused mankind to loose sight of the purpose for which they were created. Man’s chief end and highest purpose in life is to glorify God and enjoy Him benefits forever (Romans 11:36; 1 Corinthians 6:20; 1 Corinthians 10:31; Psalm 86:9). Hence, love to God is the core of all morality and goodness. The opposite of love for God is the choice of love of self as supreme. Selfishness is the essence of sin, and what follows are all other crimes against God, which can be seen in the way we live our lives today.

• Sin also caused us to incurred the penalty of physical and spiritual death, as our minds became darkened by sin. The apostle Paul wrote, “Since they do not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, He gave them over to a depraved mind” (Romans 1:28). He told the Corinthians that “the god of this age (Satan) has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that they cannot see the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Corinthians 4:4). Jesus said, “I have come into the world as a light so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness” (John 12:46). Paul reminded the Ephesians, “You were once in darkness but now you are in the light of the Lord” (Ephesians 5:8). The purpose of salvation is “to open the eyes [of unbelievers] and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God” (Acts 26:18).

• Sin produced in humans a state of depravity. Paul spoke of those “whose consciences are seared” (1 Timothy 4:2) and those whose minds are spiritually darkened as a result of rejecting the truth (Romans 1:21). In this state, man is utterly incapable of doing or choosing that which is acceptable to God, apart from divine grace. “The sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so” (Romans 8:7).

Even though man has fallen into sin, God did not abandon or remove man completely from the earth, but instead in his infinite wisdom has created a plan to restore fallen mankind back to his perfect original state; the perfect man of His creation. This plan is called: “God’s Restoration Plan,” or “God’s Plan of Redemption.” (Jeremiah 29:11-14) (Revelation 21:1-5) Without the supernatural regeneration by the Holy Spirit, all men would remain in their fallen state. But in His grace, mercy and loving-kindness, God made a way for reconciling us to Himself and making eternal life with Him possible.

It is our intention as servants of God to help in the restoration of mankind as God can only use man to restore man, for in man and through man, God is making His manifestation, establishing the “Kingdom of God,” on earth. So we are fully committed with helping to establish a culture of righteous living among men, women and children, through education on Kingdom Principles and activation of the Promises of God stated in His Word.

"If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray

and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven,

and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)
